Role: PICU Sister/Charge Nurse
Location: The Portland Hospital, Great Portland Street, London
Hours: 37.5hrs PW (Long days, Nights & Weekends)

We are currently recruiting for a Sister/Charge Nurse PICU at The Portland Hospital for Women & Children currently rated “Good” by the CQC.
As a Sister/Charge Nurse in our Paediatric Intensive Care unit, working at The Portland Hospital for Women & Children you will be responsible and accountable for the assessment of required care for your patients, developing, implementing and evaluating holistic care plans for children. You will be required to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of critical care nursing. To work within a team, supervising and directing junior staff and deputising for Senior Sisters in their absence.
Skills & Experience
1. NMC Child Registered Nurse
2. Extensive nursing experience in a PICU setting
3. Completion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 credits
4. Shift lead experience within a Cardiac PICU
5. Teaching and mentorship qualification
6. PILS/EPLS
The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit has been operational since November 2011. We are a spacious, modern 14 bed unit and are equipped with the latest technology to provide advanced respiratory and organ support all of which is medically supported by our team of Consultant Paediatric Intensivists 24/7.
