The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the automotive and food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes electrical, process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the automotive and food industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a electrical supervisor to join the Automotive Services division, supervising electrical installation projects across the UK.
Duties
As an experienced and qualified electrical supervisor, you'll be based in the company's regional office in Castle Bromwich, working on projects nationwide. With a range of clients on various manufacturing facilities across the UK, primary responsibilities will be to deliver electrical installation works in line with the company's procedures to QHSE standards. Typically, working with a small team of 2no. electricians and 2no. electrical mates to install electric vehicle charging points to commercial and industrial sites. In addition to installation works you will be the company's representative on site with duties including liaising with the client, ordering materials, statutory compliance documentation, health and safety and managing the day-to-day site activities of the in house and subcontract resources.
About You
Based ideally in West Midlands you will need to live within a commutable distance of B24 9QG. The work is nationwide so applications will be considered from across the Midlands but the interviews will be held in Birmingham.
Knowledge of installing or supervising electric vehicle charging point installations on commercial or industrial sites rather than domestic properties is essential for this position.
Minimum NVQ level 3 with AM2 or JIB Graded Electrician. 2391 or 2394/5 Testing and Inspection would be advantageous.
Full UK driving licence is essential as is the ability to work away from home during the week.
