Role Overview:
As a Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will support students in developing their mathematical understanding, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning in the department, helping students develop a strong foundation in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
-Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire students to engage with mathematics and achieve their best.
-Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of all students and encourage independent learning.
-Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting individual targets for improvement.
-Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident in their abilities.
-Collaborate with other members of the department to develop and improve the curriculum.
-Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
-Communicate regularly with parents to update them on student progress and address any concerns.
-Contribute to extra-curricular activities, such as math clubs or revision sessions, to support students' learning beyond the classroom.
About You:
We are looking for a teacher who is:
-Qualified: A relevant teaching qualification (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
-Experienced: Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is desirable but not essential.
-Passionate: A genuine enthusiasm for mathematics and helping students develop a love for the subject.
-Creative: Able to deliver lessons that make mathematics engaging, accessible, and relevant to students' everyday lives.
-Organized: Able to manage student progress, assessments, and classroom activities efficiently.
-Collaborative: Willing to work as part of a team and share ideas and best practices with colleagues.
-Student-Focused: Committed to providing support and guidance to help all students reach their full potential.
