About the role
As a CBRE Technical Director, you will lead the Facility Management Operations teams within the customer’s laboratory operations and Research and Development facilities in a GxP Pharmaceutical environment. The Director will be responsible for all mechanical operations, maintenance (hard and soft services), communications, energy management, and workforce development programs for a portfolio of buildings and sites. This role supports the Critical and Technical Services job function and requires managing a team of over 5-10 direct and 60-80 indirect reports.
What you’ll do
1. Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and mentor staff.
2. Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
3. Assist with implementing operational strategies to ensure efficient operations.
4. Act as a business partner to implement initiatives and process improvements.
5. Partner with local and regional senior management to develop strategies that optimize operational performance.
6. Lead client services support activities to drive efficiency.
7. Direct regional business operations and develop partnerships with internal department management.
8. Support preparation of annual operating budgets and lead operations and maintenance cost evaluations.
9. Provide strategic direction, including oversight of Facilities Maintenance and Lab service contracts.
10. Identify and solve complex operational and organizational problems.
What you’ll need
Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field (Engineering or Science) with 8-12 years of relevant experience. Must have experience in GxP Research and Development Labs in Life Sciences companies or with suppliers to these facilities. Preferred experience in leadership, staffing, and performance management.

Disclaimers
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship. The compensation range is about $160,000 to $190,000 annual base salary plus a 20% target bonus, depending on skills and experience.
