This fantastic nursery located in the Brighton area is looking for a Lead Nursery Teacher to join their expanding team. The nursery holds a 'Good' Ofsted rating and is open 07:30 – 18:00, Monday to Friday, all weeks of the year except for one week at Christmas. They provide quality childcare for children ages 0-5 years and ensure staff and children's wellbeing is at the heart of everything they do.
Your new role
As a senior nursery teacher, you will lead the team to create activities and support the children. Some of the main duties and responsibilities include:
* Be aware of and take responsibility for all aspects of health, safety, and security.
* Oversee all children and manage developmental stages, maintaining accurate records.
* Work in partnership with parents/carers to encourage open communication.
* Be an inspiring role model for children and set high expectations.
* Take responsibility for the support, development, and motivation of co-workers.
* Comply with all aspects of the EYFS framework and associated documentation.
* Ensure the curriculum is delivered to a high standard daily.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have Qualified Teacher Status and experience in a nursery/primary/pre-prep environment within the last 2 years. A clean, enhanced DBS check is required. You should have a good understanding of children's development and positive behaviour management.
