Office and Compliance Manager
We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in a regulated financial services or insurance cover holder business, possessing a solid understanding of Compliance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, ready to take on diverse responsibilities, and contribute to shaping and executing the company’s business strategy as part of a focused senior management team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Liaison: Work closely with external Compliance function to monitor compliance procedures, conduct monthly attestations, and support audit processes.
2. Lloyd’s Binder Administration: Maintain ongoing communication with the underwriter.
3. IT Management: Oversee systems including BACS, LAN, and the company’s administration database with IT provider.
4. Claims Administration: Serve as the liaison between policyholders, brokers, and underwriters.
5. Human Resources: Manage training, appraisals, and various HR policies.
6. Customer Communication: Oversee annual customer mailings, coordinate with printers, and secure regulatory approvals.
7. General Office Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations and staff management.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
1. Proven experience in compliance, administration, and operations at a management level.
2. Desirable background within FCA and/or highly regulated environments.
3. Advanced skills in Excel (or similar software) and data analysis.
4. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
5. Deep understanding of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
6. At least 5 years of relevant experience.

Additional Information:
1. The role is office based, in Cranleigh.
2. Competitive salary of up to £55k pro rata (higher for candidates with strong FCA/Compliance background).

5. Working hours: 9am - 5pm.
6. 4 days per week – Mon – Thurs or Tues - Fri.
