We are looking for a Team Leader to join our team working 36 hours per week on a rota basis which includes working weekends. You will be working in a residential care home supporting people aged 18-65 who have learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and other medical conditions. The position is 36 hours per week with the option to work overtime. Experience as a Team Leader working in a residential care home is essential and this post requires NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care and be willing to complete Level 3. Medication trained is desirable, however we will provide training. The successful candidate will have an induction shadowing other staff and will complete a care induction and other mandatory training. An enhanced DBS is required which will be arranged by the employer. The role includes; personal care, assisting with medication, domestic tasks within the home, cleaning, completing laundry and ironing, assisting with preparation of meals, completing daily reports and other paperwork, attending staff meetings, supporting residents in the community, attending healthcare appointments and supporting with activities in the home and in the community which may include activities such as social activities and supporting to attend places of worship.
The role of the Team Leader will also involve planning the day, administrative tasks, administering medication, attending any appointments, delegating and checking work, meeting deadlines, supporting the support staff and working with the management team.
