To be successful as a Lead Solution Architect, you should have experience with:
* Pega Lead Solution Architect certification and application working experience.
* AWS Professional or Associate Solution Architect certification and application working experience.
* Experience working with REST APIs, Apache Kafka, DevSecOps & EKS.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
* Set up or migrated Client managed Pega Platform Managed on EKS on AWS or Azure.
* Educated to Master in Computer Science or equivalent degree to be able to meet the intellectual demands of the job, or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
* Experience with Caching solutions such as Hazelcast and Search tools like Elastic Search.

This role can be based in any of the following locations: Northampton, Glasgow, and Knutsford.
Purpose of the role:
To set direction and design solutions for the bank's most complex IT systems and/or platforms, including using industry-leading approaches in response to the most challenging functional and non-functional requirements.
Accountabilities:
* Set the bank's strategic architecture direction for a specialist technology area(s), e.g., development of trading platforms.
* Provision of deep technical expertise in designing and evaluating complex technology architectures to stakeholders, including overseeing and coordinating solution architects, to encourage continuous learning across the architecture community.
* Management of innovative design, engineering initiatives and complex technology projects, through collaboration with technical experts across the bank to resolve complex problems that support the bank's technology strategy.
* Development and promotion of architectural standards, guidelines and governance policies to ensure consistency, quality and compliance to support the mitigation of various risks including breaches, access and regulatory violations.
* Identification of emerging technology trends, patterns and innovations that may impact the bank and implement potential solutions that align with the bank's strategic objectives.
* Development and maintenance of advisor relationships with business partners, architects and engineering teams to drive successful design, adoption and engineering outcomes.
* Advocation of optimal solutions that address the bank's technological needs through clear and compelling communication to support architectural decisions.
* Support of engineering and architecture community initiatives to mentor team members, streamline operations, share and grow knowledge.
