We seek to appoint a Lifeguard to join our fantastic team.
Tewkesbury Academy Sports Centre is based in the grounds of Tewkesbury Academy. It is a dual use centre, which means that the school students use the facilities during school hours and the wider community can use the facilities in the evenings, weekends and school holidays.
Tewkesbury Academy Sports Centre Swim School provides swimmers the opportunity to develop from beginners through to an advanced level.
The post holder is part of a team of officers who are collectively responsible for the effective delivery of a range of services throughout the facility. The Lifeguard team work within a shift pattern which includes working evenings and weekends
Overall Responsibilities:
To supervise the security and safety of the public ensuring their enjoyment in all areas of the facility and carry out rescues as required.
To assist the Duty Officer in the preparation and activities of Tewkesbury School Swimming pool in a professional manner to ensure a high quality of service is provided to pool users and visitors.
To maintain the facility to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
The interview process will be a Swim Test. If this is passed there will be an interview. For those who are not NPLQ qualified, they will be expected to complete it.
