The Role: As a Membership Sales Advisor, you will be instrumental in promoting our services and advocating for the benefits of improved health and wellbeing. Your primary responsibilities include driving membership sales, fostering relationships with potential members and ensuring exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in attracting new members to Horizon Guildford and retaining members across our group of centres. Our ideal candidate The ideal person will be experienced in membership management, including sales roles both face-to-face and over the telephone. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding expectations. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach. Excellent retention, sales and negotiating skills. Strong organisational and relationship building skills. Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively. Team player with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Driven and focused. Passion for helping others achieve their fitness and wellness goals. What does the role involve? A hands-on role that requires you to: Actively promote and sell memberships, achieving monthly targets with persuasive communication skills. Build strong relationships with potential and existing members, ensuring exceptional customer service. Reconnect with cancelled members, using available tools and win-back strategies to offer the best customer outcome and to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our fitness programmes and facilities to effectively communicate benefits. Implement creative strategies to generate leads and increase footfall, both within the leisure centre and through external outreach activities. Complete necessary CRM tasks related to membership sales and retention, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Work closely with other team members to help solve customer problems. Help to create a positive and motivated working environment, contributing to the overall success of the team. Skills and competencies : Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the fitness or leisure industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a passion for health and fitness. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Goal-oriented and able to meet and exceed sales targets. Basic computer skills for handling membership systems and administrative tasks. Emergency Response Pool Qualification (training will be provided).
