The Role
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll deliver Fleet Quality Assurance activities in line with the current Customer Contract through close liaison with all key stakeholders.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide support to:
* Platform Maintenance Periods
* Product Quality Activities
* Supply Chain Support
* Quality Training
* Corporate Audit Programme
* Management System Governance
Your responsibilities include:
* Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company’s cost, time, and quality requirements.
* Assist the Senior Quality Engineer in maximising the utilisation of all the section’s resources.
* Implement the Company Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies, ensuring risk assessments lead to safe working attitudes and practices.
* Produce detailed Quality Plans to support Fleet Maintenance Projects, achieving stakeholder agreement prior to project start.
* Participate in the corporate audit program, including managing corrective and preventive actions.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements (4 days in the office and 1 day working from home). The role is based at HMNB Faslane.
Essential Experience
* Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 Series).
* Experience with Quality Management tools and techniques.
* Experience in a Quality Assurance engineering background with a high level of developed knowledge, including leading or supporting internal/external quality audits.
* Demonstrable experience in supporting a range of engineering, process, and quality management issues involving varied levels of complexity.
* Experience within the submarine industry is preferred but not essential.
Qualifications
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
