Egis Road Operations M40 Ltd are looking to speak to a Senior Commercial Manager to help support the growth of the Commercial team. The award-winning M40 motorway stretches for 123km and links London, Oxford and Birmingham. Since 2018 Egis has ensured the smooth operation and safety of the motorway for the 100,000 vehicles that travel on it each day. Job description We are now looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team based in Banbury for the M40. This position will sit on the SMT and report directly to the Transformation Manager. The Commercial Manager: Will require knowledge and experience of pre and post-contract management and procurement within commercial contract management. Will be expected to utilise experience and knowledge of supplier relationship and contract management to drive efficiencies in the supply chain. Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels, both internally and externally. Will work closely with Planning and Delivery teams to deliver strategic aims of their designated portfolios. Will require knowledge and experience of programme reporting and commercial processes, and be required to review, critique, improve and implement commercial processes to reduce risk and improve profitability Will have extensive, proven experience of commercial management within organisations, projects and programmes. Will be responsible for running the commercial team, mentoring and improving the quality of the work, and driving improvements in all commercial areas to support efficient delivery and detailed reporting. Key Services The key services offered by the Commercial Manager are anticipated as, but not limited to the following; To manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects To support the programme and project teams in monitoring for Contract compliance and compliance with national Highways and Client requirements. To lead the commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement. To provide proactive advice and guidance to Programme/Project Managers on all change including proposed scope changes, and produce all required documentation for approval in accordance with levels of delegated authority. Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions. Make sure that commercial records are retained and archived properly upon close out. Manage the final account settlements and internal reconciliation to project close-out as per the project authority.
