The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer who is looking for technically challenging work on cutting-edge projects, to become a permanent member of our friendly and creative Building Engineering Team in London.
You will work on some of the most exciting and innovative buildings in the UK and internationally, often with top tier architects and clients. The team are currently involved with over 100 projects worldwide from concept design through to completion.
Our projects need to be part of the transition to net-zero carbon and increasingly we see electrical engineering sitting at the heart of how that transition can be achieved. We are looking for people who can understand the magnitude of the task and rise to it, bringing with them a sense of inquisitiveness and an enthusiasm to challenge the status quo.
Our current and recent project portfolio includes:
* Residential and social infrastructure projects: Ebury Bridge Estate and East Village;
* Rail building projects: Euston Station, Bond Street Station and HS2;
* Airport projects: Heathrow and Navi Mumbai;
* Culture and mixed use projects: UCL East Marshgate, The Royal Opera House and Selfridges Department Store;
* Decarbonisation projects & net zero strategies: various clients and portfolios;
* Technical electrical infrastructure studies: locations of national strategic significance.
Remit:
* Production of high quality and considered electrical design for projects, involving sketches (electronic and hand-drawn), calculation plans, technical studies and models as well as drawings, reports and specifications.
* Undertake and deliver electrical design and input on projects of varying scales.
* Manage the production of drawings.
* Prepare and co-ordinate electrical reports and specifications.

Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for a candidate who:
* Has a qualification in electrical engineering or a related subject.
* Understands the theory underpinning electrical building services.
* Has working knowledge of relevant British Standards (including BS 7671, BS 7430, BS 5839, BS 9999).
* Possesses excellent technical aptitude and experience in a range of electrical service design software.
