Cabinet Maker/Machinist/Assembler

BEP Create produce bespoke high-end gaming cabinets for the home and commercial market. Our main client is Bespoke Arcades who are the world's leading producer of high-end arcade gaming machines.
We are looking for a highly self-motivated and practical cabinet maker to produce MFC/MDF arcade/pinball/VR/gaming stand-alone cabinets for various contracts as well as to help maintain our small woodwork shop in Potters Bar, Herts.
Applicants must have a passion/enthusiasm/ability to produce good quality cabinets as well as a desire to assist in the creation of new innovations. Applicants must also be motivated to and happy to work predominantly alone to deadlines with the assistance of team members as required. Experience operating and planning projects with CNC machinery would be useful but not essential.
A love for classic and/or modern gaming would also be helpful but not essential!

Main tasks will include:
* Producing cabinets to design with high craftsmanship
* Working alone on projects to deadlines
* Machining/preparing wooden parts for cabinets
* Assembling wooden parts into cabinets
* Operating power/hand tools (table saws, routers, simple edge bander, etc)
* Planning/ordering of required wood materials for projects
* Liaising/planning with sprayer to ensure flow of cabinets
* Loading/unloading CNC machine as required
* Ensuring tools/materials always stocked correctly
* Receiving and arranging deliveries of raw materials
* Assisting in the installation of cabinets on-site as required
* Willing to help other team members as required
* Assisting in the development of new innovations
* Keeping a clean, tidy and fully compliant workspace
We are looking for a skilled cabinet maker who is/has:
* Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role in woodworking.
* Creative and practical ability
* Confident with use of hand/bench machinery
* Self-motivation, self-discipline and persistence
* Physically fit and able/willing to help with lifting
* Able to work from plan or example
* A positive “can do” attitude and good problem solving skills
* A good eye for detail
* Able to work at a fast but accurate pace
* Capable of managing and running projects from start to finish
* Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
* Willingness to grow and develop within the company
* Good understanding of English and good communication skills
* Driving Licence (+ own vehicle useful)
Deadline: Please be available to start as soon as possible
Job Type: Permanent, full-time role with pension, holiday and tools provided; possibility to work on self-employed contracts if preferred
Working Hours: Usual 8:30am-4/5pm (7/8 hours a day – ½ hour for lunch/breaks) with overtime at busy periods, can potentially be flexible
Salary: £22,000 to £35,000, negotiable depending on experience/hours
Experience: Ideally 2 years+ within a cabinet making environment
