As a Mechanical Handling Engineer, you will join a team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Specification, design, and implementation of mechanical handling equipment /heavy machinery such as cranes, conveyers, and lifting systems.
* Undertake mechanical design and assessment to ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards.
* Hand calculations to support mechanical design and analysis.
* Responsible for preparing Mechanical handling study report and presentations.
Who are we looking for?
* Strong ability to produce technical documentation, including design requirements and optioneering records.
* Experience working on fuel route mechanical handling equipment.
* Experience in oil & gas, nuclear or heavy machinery industries (preferred).

Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, structural engineering or a field related in engineering.
* Shall be highly proactive and involved in everyday coordination to quickly understand and resolve the issues.
* Shall have very good presentation and communication skills.
