Job profile
A Japanese global manufacturing company is looking for a Sales Manager to expand their business in Germany.
Responsibilities
1. Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in distributors, system integrators, ISV’s, resellers and end users.
2. Value added solution selling as a trusted advisor.
3. Proactively assess, clarify and validate partner needs to be successful on an ongoing basis.
4. Increase new sales by influencing the whole sales channel through targeted visits to identified large potential customers.
5. Build a strong partner pipeline through account and field mapping of partners.
6. Set business plans with each distributor/system integrator/dealer/ISV and work closely with them to ensure that they achieve the plan set.
7. Monitor performance of partners.
8. Identify new possible areas for growth and implement plans to realize this growth.
9. Detail all contact with partners/customers on the company's CRM system (currently Salesforce).
10. Analyze the success of the region and identify the correct process to increase sales in the future.
11. Work closely with marketing to maximize the effective use of the co-operative budget in developing sales with each distributor/reseller.
12. Attend trade shows where their distributors or the company’s exhibits.
13. Be self-motivated with the ability to work without close supervision.
14. Provide monthly feedback and updates via presentation at Sales Meetings either face to face or via video conferencing.
15. Maintain funnel, forecast and opportunity pipeline.
16. Achieve assigned sales quota for the territory.
Essentials
1. Strong influencer and persuasive with internal and external contacts.
2. Prior experience in a similar role with strong focus on indirect sales and channel development selling through a distribution model.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and business counterparts within and outside of the company.
4. Willing to travel regularly within the region.
5. Fluent in German and English.
