About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Engagement and Communication Manager to support RX in its implementation of the Net Zero Carbon events pledge. This is a newly created role and reports to the Global Head of Communications and Marketing with a dotted line to the global Sustainability Director. Responsibilities - Leading the creation of learning materials to raise awareness of sustainability internally, including updating our RX Sustainability Playbook, for key audiences such as event directors, marketing teams, operations and sales. - Managing the roll-out of these materials including through a train the trainer programme with our Sustainability Council. - Developing communications toolkits for event teams to use externally, showing how the event is actively embedding sustainability. - Working with the Global Corporate Comms Team to promote and raise awareness of the company's sustainability credentials, adding content to the global content plan and ensuring we share all relevant information. - Creating education and capacity building materials for stakeholders including exhibitors and suppliers. - Compiling case studies and support external reporting on sustainability. - Raising awareness of the RX sustainability playbook and support engagement in a sustainability action plan, and representing RX externally in industry workstreams related to the Net Zero Carbon Events initiative. - Setting and driving agendas for meetings, ensuring action items are followed up on and plans are communicated across teams. - Supporting the Sustainability Council and engage with cross functional teams to drive our sustainability goals. Requirements - Have a degree in sustainability or a strong understanding of carbon reporting/accounting. - Have excellent written and verbal communication skills - Demonstrate a proven track record of interpersonal skills, building good relationships internally and externally. - Be an influencer by bringing people on our sustainability journey. - Demonstrate a high knowledge of turning sophisticated data into a story. - Have prior corporate communications experience with experience of working on sustainability communications a bonus. - Have good attention to detail and time management skills. - Demonstrate a passion for a sustainability related / Corporate Responsibility field Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
