The role of the Health Care Support Worker(HCSW) is to support the Nurses, Ward Sisters/Charge Nurse to deliver excellent nursing care to each & every patient.
The HCSW will provide holistic care to patients enabling them to become as Independent as possibly depending o their mobility goals.
Following Infection Control Procedures to promote a safe environment for all staff, patients and their families/carers.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
Washing & Dressing Patients
Taking Observations & reporting the findings back to the RGN/Ward Sister/Charge Nurse
Empowering Patients to be Independent
Supporting the Therapy Team with the Patients Therapy Goals
Safe Guarding
Participating in Nursing Handover
Able to work with delegated duties from Seniors
Bed Making
Maintaining the Units Infection Control Standards
Reporting Faulty Equipment/Items
