Part time (2 days a week) at 15 hours a week 8am – 4pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Plus occasional extra hours, weekend work or non term time cover as required.
Permanent position, term time only (39 weeks).
We are proud to belong to Pentland Field School; a community that works together to achieve the very best for our children.
We are looking to appoint a friendly, capable, proactive and organised Premises Assistant to join the premises team. You will support the Premises Manager with the maintenance, repair and security of our school site.
This is a part time role, for two days a week Monday and Friday from 8am – 4pm with a 30 minute unpaid break. Plus occasional extra hours, weekend work, or non term time cover as required.
Pentland Field has approximately 170 pupils aged 4-19, with a range of learning difficulties. Some pupils may also have additional social, emotional and behavioural needs, an Autistic Spectrum Condition, or have complex social and communication difficulties.
We would welcome applications from candidates who have significant experience or skills in a trade, are competent at basic building repairs and maintenance. Equally, you may be a competent and enthusiastic DIY-er, with relevant handyman experience.
Part of the role involves ensuring smooth site operation such as the restocking of materials and organising deliveries as required.
Meet the physical demands of the role, enthusiastic and flexible by nature; open to direction and training which builds your competence and capability.
The right candidate will be willing to participate fully in the life of a special school. In this fast-paced environment, you will need to be someone who remains calm and composed under pressure.
If you wish to speak to someone regarding the role please contact Cristian Carlescu, Premises Manager, via email on info@pentlandfieldschool.co.uk.
Interviews: Wednesday 18th December
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
The Eden Academy Trust may from time to time require an employee to be relocated temporarily or permanently to one of its other schools. Any proposal to relocate will be carried out with due consultation and reasonable notice.
