Role Summary
The Royal Devon’s Digital Services Team is seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to support their commitment to providing efficient, sustainable 24*7 support. This new role is a critical aspect of our first-line support for Digital Services across Devon.
As part of the team’s expansion, we are introducing this new role to spearhead the second phase of our redesigned 24*7 service for the Trust and its stakeholders. We are looking for newly qualified IT Students and experienced Service Desk Operators to fill these new roles, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of digital support services.
About the Role
This role involves monthly rotations helping to support the Trust's 24*7 IT Service Desk:
* Delivering first-line support for Digital and Clinical Digital services during standard working hours.
* Rotation between 1 month Long Days (12/12.5 hour shifts) followed by one month day short shifts - 37.5 hours average per week.
* Opportunity to rotate working from home and the RDE Heavitree Service Desk Office.
This rotation ensures exposure to diverse responsibilities across the Digital Services Team, with salary enhancements reflecting the unique shift patterns. Successful candidates will gain valuable experience and development opportunities to advance their careers within the Trust's Digital Services Team.

* The capacity to prioritise and assign support calls appropriately according to service level agreements.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with Active Directory.

Working Pattern: For full-time staff (2 posts), there is a monthly rotation between working 12/12.5 hour long day shifts, 4 on, 4 off, any day and standard office hours Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00. Once trained, the long days can be worked off site whilst the short days are worked from the RDE Heavitree office. For part-time staff (2 posts), working hours will normally be 4.5 hpd, Monday to Friday but there will be an expectation to cover other days as required. There are also standard enhancements for working weekends and Bank Holidays. Also, Part Time 22.5 hpw.
