Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement they need to thrive. All children and young people have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) and could be diagnosed with one or more of the following: Autism, ADHD, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties. Students may also have associated difficulties such as sensory impairments, communication difficulties or physical disabilities. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs. Support the classroom teacher in managing student behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment. Help with personal care and mobility support as required. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers. Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions. Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience working with children or adults with special educational needs is essential Knowledge of various SEN conditions (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia) and strategies to support students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
