Job Details Grade: 2C Hourly Rate: £12.56 per hour (Scottish Local Government Living Wage) Salary: £24,231.80 per annum (37 FTE) Hours: 37 hours Contract Duration: Permanent Please note these are permanent roles and several positions are currently available Location for these posts are Peebles and Galashiels Note: Shortlisting and interviews will take place w/c Monday 31st March Role Purpose Bus Drivers – Peebles and Galashiels Please note these are permanent roles and several positions are currently available. This is a 37 hour per week position and candidates will be expected to join a rota of drivers working 3 or 4 days out of 6 each week. Our operations are between Monday and Saturday from the hours of 6:00am-19:00pm. Drivers will be expected to operate school bus services as well as commercial bus routes. Training will include PVG application, Driver Induction, full MIDAS training and route learning prior to deployment. D licence holders with previous experience in public service work are preferred. Essential Full manual driving licence with minimum Category D1. A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
