Role Context and responsibilities: Our increasing workload from a range of challenging local and international projects has given us the opportunity to expand our Electrical team across the UK region in our established offering in the maritime sector and our developing offering in the renewables. We require a Senior Electrical Engineer with 5 – 10 years of experience to support our Lead and Principal Engineers in the delivery of consultancy services to current and new clients. In addition, the role will require the development of digital methods in order to improve the quality and productivity of the services we offer. General responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to: Provide expertise on a broad range of engineering projects. Design electrical engineering systems primarily including HV, MV, LV distribution, internal and external lighting, and other electrical systems. Prepare design calculations, drawings, studies, specifications, and reports. Liaise with clients, project directors and other project team members. Carry out feasibility studies, surveys, and inspections on site. Prepare reports and cost estimates. Undertake continuous personal development to satisfy the IET and have a keen desire to be active within the local and national IET network representing Royal HaskoningDHV. Identify new opportunities for the company and provide excellent client satisfaction. What we are looking for: BEng (Hons) or MEng in Electrical Engineering (or similar). Attainment of or working towards professional registration with the Engineering Council UK (EC UK ) at Chartered (CEng) level leading to Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Experience in one or more of the following areas: Petrochemical Ports or Maritime (including on site experience) Design of electrical equipment and infrastructure Consultancy Design of outdoor lighting infrastructure Renewables such as offshore renewables, EV infrastructure, and future energy systems Knowledge, experience and practical application of: HV/MV and LV electrical installations IEC / ISO and other international standards Application of EU legislation Experience of LV and HV design software packages would be an advantage. Knowledge and/or experience of shore power systems would be an advantage. The ability to be security cleared (or already security cleared) for UK-based defence work would be desirable.
