The role summary:
The Marketing Executive will be responsible for supporting and executing marketing strategies set by the Head of Marketing, while acting as a key communicator across our care homes. This role requires a focus on creating engaging, compassionate, and informative content, managing social media platforms, conducting market research, assisting with awards submissions, and supporting events and initiatives that increase brand awareness and drive business growth. The Marketing Executive will ensure all communications reflect our mission to enhance the quality of life of our residents and support Kara Healthcare’s vision of providing a home for life, within a vibrant, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Execution:
* Implement marketing strategies set by the Head of Marketing with a particular focus on promoting the values and services of our care homes.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing efforts align with the needs of our care homes, create content that reflects their dedicated efforts, and maintain consistent branding across all platforms.
* Support the execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, and events) to raise awareness, engage potential residents and families, and highlight the quality of care provided.
Content Creation and Management:
* Develop compelling and impactful content for the website, social media, third-party sites, newsletters, press releases, and blogs.
* Support with awards submissions by liaising with care homes to gather input, ensuring the unique qualities and high standards of each home are effectively highlighted.
* Assist in developing marketing materials such as brochures and leaflets that reflect the personality of each care home.
* Manage content calendars, ensuring timely delivery and approval of all materials.
Digital Marketing and Social Media:
* Manage and update the organization’s social media profiles to maintain engagement with families, residents, and the community daily.
* Assist with planning and executing social media campaigns that highlight the care homes' values, community involvement, and resident success stories.
* Manage third-party review sites to maintain a positive online reputation.
* Monitor digital marketing trends within the healthcare and care sector, identifying opportunities to expand the organization’s online presence.
* Track campaign performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies as needed to improve outreach and engagement.
Media Relations and Internal Communications:
* Build and nurture relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive media coverage, focusing on community events, special achievements, and resident success stories.
* Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep staff informed about key marketing initiatives, fostering unity and aligning everyone with the organizational goals.
* Write and distribute press releases, media kits, and public relations materials that highlight the organization’s mission, commitment to quality care, and active involvement in the community.
Brand Management:
* Ensure consistent use of branding and messaging across all marketing materials.
* Maintain and enforce brand guidelines, ensuring uniformity in communication across all platforms.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field (experience in the healthcare or care sector is an advantage).
* Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, platforms, and analytics.
* Proficiency in social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, with an understanding of the unique needs of a care home audience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compassionate, and compelling messages.
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Creativity and a keen eye for design and content presentation, with an understanding of the emotional appeal necessary for the care sector.
* Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
* Knowledge of email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot).
* Familiarity with video production and editing tools to create engaging content such as resident stories, staff highlights, and community events.
* Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, particularly in a care home setting where the needs of residents and families are paramount.
This is a Full-time position based at our office in Cosby, with occasional travel to care homes within the region as required.
