That’s why we’re keen to hear from determined and motivated people like you, to help deliver excellence for our clients and ourselves!
As a Consents Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of consents and permissions required for Energy projects. This role will specifically focus on Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and Consents Management.
Working alongside your colleagues and other Clancy departments or functions, your role will contribute to the following activities:

* Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and planning regulations to ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate constructive dialogue, address concerns, and obtain necessary approvals in a timely manner.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of consents, permits, and approvals, and prepare comprehensive reports to support project documentation and compliance requirements.
* Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential barriers to obtaining consents and approvals, and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
* Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate consent requirements into project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamline consent management processes, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge, provide guidance on consent-related matters, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:
* Proven experience (ideally 3-5 years) in consents management, environmental permitting, or regulatory compliance within the construction or infrastructure sector.
* Project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and coordinate activities across multiple projects.
* Strong understanding of planning regulations, environmental legislation or land rights and regulatory frameworks relevant to construction projects.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with consents management software or databases.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements, identify potential risks, and develop pragmatic solutions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
