Here at Abercorn vets we have an excellent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team. Duties will include all aspects of nursing, working in theatre, inpatient care, nurse consults and assisting other staff where needed. Our nursing staff are an extremely important part of our clinical team, ensuring that our branches run smoothly whilst delivering the most exceptional care to our patients and clients. This is a full-time role working a variety of shift patterns at our main practice on Portobello High Street. It will include 1 out of 6 Saturdays. No out of hours required or bank holiday cover is needed. Salary is dependent on experience. Applicant Requirements The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical setting, a new graduate would be considered for the position. You must be conscientious, able to work closely with the clinical team and have enthusiasm for providing an excellent level of care to our patients. About Us Our 3 branches are located in Portobello, Gilmerton and Stockbridge and we have a range of excellent facilities. Our main site at Portobello is well-equipped with a dental suite including x-ray, digital x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house lab. We are also proud to be rabbit welfare accredited (Silver) and feline friendly (status silver). We have a brilliant, supportive and skilled team who all work closely together to ensure that we provide excellent care for our clients and patients alike. The team is the best part of the practice with several longstanding team members, we have a wealth of experience and we are always encouraging team development, progression and CPD. Throughout the practice we have 10 vets, 6 registered veterinary nurses and 5 receptionists.
