ABOUT THE ROLE
A great opportunity for an experienced Joinery professional to work within a driven environment, hungry for success. You’ll be responsible for pricing joinery elements of work. Working in tandem with joinery workshop manager & directors to ensure the in- house capability is there to produce items from tenders. Adhere and engage with the Quality Management system and other company procedures as appropriate.
Main Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Reviewing tender documents and extracting specifications and drawings that are applicable to joinery manufacture.
2. Attend and actively participate in production meetings, ensuring actions are cleared in accordance with agreed timescales.
3. Taking joinery drawings from concept and pricing them, requesting information from the client, or making assumptions where specifications or details are missing.
4. Review drawings for potential savings ensuring they remain in accordance with the employer’s requirements, and these are as The Company tender.
5. Ensure the priced joinery is compliant with drawings and employer’s requirements.
6. Issuing workshop orders for manufacture & tracking costs and spend.
7. Always maintain and enhance the company’s reputation as a specialist contractor, be professional and consistent so that we are seen as ‘best in class’ in everything we do, to help raise our profile and secure future business.
REQUIREMENTS
8. Experience in joinery either from a trade background or in your current Quantity Surveying or Estimating position.
9. Must have technical knowledge of joinery components, finishes and manufacturing techniques.
10. Have the ability to identify why client designed joinery will not work as drawn.
11. Happy to work as a valuable part of a small office team.
12. Communicates clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
13. Adaptable and able to identify work priorities and manage own workload, able to change with business needs.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
This is a permanent position based at the office / workshop, with the opportunity to develop further within this business. Salary ranges from £40,000 to £60,000 depending on experience and skill set, with a generous bonus scheme subject to performances.
