Our client, a leading organisation in the science and innovation sector, is hosting a professional conference and is seeking a Temporary Events Assistant to provide key front-of-house support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on event experience in a dynamic and professional setting.
Required dates: 13th March 2025 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm), 14th March 2025 (8:30 am – 1:00 pm)
The Role
As a Temporary Events Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of a high-profile industry event. You will be the first point of contact for attendees, providing a professional and welcoming experience while assisting with registration and general event support.
Responsibilities of the Events Assistant:
* Meet & Greet: Welcome attendees with a professional and friendly approach
* Registration Management: Check in attendees, distribute name badges, and assist with any registration queries
* General Event Support: Assist delegates with directions, answer general queries, and support the organisers as needed
* Event Setup & Breakdown: Help ensure the event space is well-organised before and after the event
Requirements of the Events Assistant:
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Professional, punctual, and well-presented
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Previous experience in events or customer-facing roles is beneficial but not essential
