As a Program Manager for Amazon Freight Partner, you will lead compliance and risk mitigation initiatives to enhance the program's overall performance. Your role involves conducting comprehensive risk assessments, developing strategic mitigation plans, and implementing improvements across various aspects of the program. You'll lead efforts to optimize audit processes, enhance enforcement mechanisms, and introduce new compliance measures. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, notably Transportation Risk & Compliance (TRC) and Operations, you'll drive the implementation of risk management programs and compliance training initiatives. Your responsibilities extend to overseeing policy changes, maintaining governance standards, and continuously improving operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive change in a complex, fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities • Lead transportation compliance and risk mitigation strategies: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive plans to enhance freight partner program compliance and mitigate identified risks in the transportation sector. • Drive carrier audit performance improvements: Optimize carrier audit processes, implement corrective action workflows, and enhance enforcement management systems to boost overall compliance scores within the network. • Establish successful partnerships: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to execute both tactical and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across the transportation ecosystem. • Manage policy changes and governance: Own program policy updates, maintain governance standards, and ensure all initiatives adhere to legal and operational guidelines in the logistics industry. • Influence development of carrier compliance tools: Work with teams to develop proper SOPs, KPIs, and strategies that help comply with regional transportation regulations impacting operations • Demonstrate excellent communication in logistics: Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information and influence stakeholders. • Drive technology integration: Collaborate with Sr. Program and Product Managers to implement tech features that simplify compliance management. • Upskill partners and stakeholders: Conduct training sessions and share best practices to mitigate regulatory risks and improve overall compliance performance. A day in the life As a Program Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programmes. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks. Programme Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion. This role can be based in any of Amazon Transportation Services' European corporate offices, including Berlin, Munich, Luxembourg, Madrid, or London, Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements - Experience in program or project management - Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization - Experience in transportation, logistics, or operations management.
