We are seeking motivated and dynamic Band 7 Information Security Architect to work within the newly established NELFTs Information Security (IS) Team. The IS team is responsible for the implementation, operation and continued improvements to information security controls / processes to protect The Trusts information and systems assets from the ever increasing and evolving cyber threats. Main duties of the job The Information Security Architect will be responsible for • Liaison with all infrastructure and application development projects to identify and recommend remediation for information security risks and compliance to The Trust security polices/standards and legal/regulatory requirements. • Being the focal point of expertise in the defence-in depth security controls and processes encompassing IT infrastructure elements (Network, Telecoms, Servers and Endpoints) and software and database developed within The Trust. In this regard, the role will interface considerably with the other Information Security Team members to provide advice and support on technical matters • Establishing and operating The Trusts Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC). This will include processes for liaison with the Third-Party Risk Assurance Specialist if third party components are utilised for new or changed applications within The Trust. About us Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. High Cost Area Supplement This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).
