Job Overview:
Check Fire + Security are currently looking to appoint an experienced Service Manager with strong operational and people skills to join our dynamic team in Bury. You will be responsible for the day-to-day service operations and management of a team of engineers. Experience in the industry is preferred but not essential, if you have experience managing a team of engineers.
Established in 2019, Check Fire + Security are a relatively new company to the fire and security industry with fresh ideas and looking to bring some much-needed innovation to the sector. New doesn’t necessarily mean without experience. Our expert senior management team have a combined experience of over 60 years in the security, fire safety and compliance sector. This role will provide you with the exciting opportunity to assist with shaping and developing a key division within a continuously expanding company.
Main Responsibilities:
* Management of a team of 15 engineers, conducting performance reviews, engineer audits and setting targets.
* Monitoring engineers’ activity throughout the day to ensure job completion.
* Ensure that all job reports are returned by engineers in a timely manner.
* Build relationships with clients to assist with growth and opportunities for the company.
* To deliver exceptional customer service to clients through SLA’s and KPI’s.
* Ensure that preventative maintenance and reactive repairs are completed in line with KPI targets.
* Monitor and maintain the service inbox.
* Assign and publish out of hours call out duties to engineers via the call out rota.
* Involvement in the recruitment process of new engineers/service administration staff as the company grows.
Requirements:
* A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, well-presented and professional at all times.
* Experience managing an engineering team.
* The ability to work under pressure.
* Proactive approach to management of workload.
* Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Must be competent in Microsoft software packages such as Outlook and Excel. Training will be provided on our bespoke internal software.
* Must be able to gain security clearance (BS7858).
* Experience within the industry (preferred but not essential).
