Job summary
Akessa Healthcare is seeking to appoint a Clinical Director/Senior Rehabilitation Consultant to lead the development of our medical services and in particular our outpatient Neurological services, as well as support the ongoing treatment and rehabilitation of our neuro and spinal patients.
In this role the appointee is expected to provide comprehensive care for private patients. The appointment is based at The Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital in Aylesbury, however there will be opportunity to conduct outpatient clinics at The New Foscote Hospital in Banbury and 107 Harley Street in London.

The successful candidate will be assigned appropriate secretarial support to clinical work and diary management.
Main duties of the job
Lead on the development of Neuro-Spinal services in particular but also taking a leading role across all of our services.
Deliver high-quality care for all patients and support the smooth running of the service.
Support efficient management of resources and maintenance of our short waiting lists for private and insured patients.
Take ownership in the successful performance against key performance indicators, ensuring zero compromise to the quality of care or clinical excellence for patients.
In collaboration with department leads, maintain and develop quality standards and improvement throughout the department and in line with any relevant accreditation requirements.
Provide on-site clinical expertise as and when needed, supporting MDTs as required.
Essential requirements:
CCT in Acute Medicine, Neurology or Rehabilitation Medicine
Full GMC Registration
Dual registration with the GMC Specialist Register in Acute Medicine and Neurology or Rehabilitation Medicine.
Currently, or previously employed in a substantive NHS consultant post.
Registration, or eligibility to do so, with the insurance companies (BUPA, AXA-PPP etc.) is required
Able to take responsibility for delivering the service without direct supervision.
