Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Grounds Maintenance Assistant
We are looking to appoint a fixed-term Grounds Maintenance Assistant. Working outdoors in all weathers, you'll use a broad range of horticultural and arboricultural equipment across Karbon to maintain our customers' neighborhoods.
About the role
You will operate various ride-on and other horticultural equipment and drive an allocated Karbon vehicle. A commitment to continual learning, health and safety awareness, quality service, and customer care is essential. You will work as part of a team and assist in maintaining Karbon and external contract sites, performing tasks such as cyclical maintenance, garden clearances, grass cutting, fly tipping, waste removal, and other duties as directed by the Lead Grounds Maintenance Operative.
We seek an enthusiastic individual with a love for working outdoors to support our team in delivering excellent service that emphasizes customer focus, safety, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. The position is based in Chester le Street.

* Knowledge of modern ground maintenance services and experience in improving and maintaining outdoor areas.
* Ability to follow instructions and think independently.
* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions in a physically demanding role.
