The Brand
Anya Hindmarch founded her business in London in 1987 and it has since grown into a global brand. Today, it is as known for its luxury, organisation-obsessed accessories as it is for its groundbreaking work in sustainability and its playful experiential retail concepts. Testament to this are projects such as I Am A Plastic Bag, The Universal Bag - a unique collaboration with supermarkets to rethink the reusable shopping bag, and Return to Nature, a collection of bags which are intended to biodegrade and compost at the end of their useful life. Anya Hindmarch launched the Village on Pont Street in London’s Chelsea in 2021. This is a community of neighbouring stores and a cafe. Ever evolving, it centres around the Village Hall, which hosts innovative concepts, collaborations and exhibitions, all of which are amplified digitally. These include a fruit and veg store, a hairdresser, a Christmas Grotto, a dry off licence, A. Houndmarch dog butchers, an ice cream store and a garden centre.
Job Purpose
* Working on 2:1 bases for the CEO and Brand Director. Contracted 5 days a week in the office, although currently based in the office 4 days a week from AH HQ and 1 day from home.
Key Responsibilities
* Extensive diary management for the CEO and the Brand Director across international time zones
* Organisation of international travel both business and personal, making sure any necessary visa’s are in place
* Annual calendar planning for the CEO, working with various departments to ensure all key dates and events are included
* Preparation of board documents and brand handbooks ahead of meetings
* Coordinating appointments & papers for external committees and boards
* External Boards and committees currently include Tate, Tate Enterprises, Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Dept of Business & Trade and occasionally Royal Academy, Design Museum, British Fashion Council.
* Completing expenses reports and tracking expenditure against budget
* Organising company events, brand events and activations as well as personal events for the CEO, tracking all costs against budget and managing event logistics
* Gatekeeper with exposure to high profile/senior figures
* Organising company and personal gifting, making sure everything is logged
* Assist the CEO on personal matters and events
* Assisting James Seymour (Anya’s husband and a Director at AH) with occasional administrative tasks
* General administration including filing and managing incoming and outgoing post for Anya
* Assisting the Brand Director withing any ongoing and upcoming projects, providing creative assistance when needed
* Be the eyes and ears for the CEO and report any issues directly to them
Key Skills
* 3+ years’ experience in this role
* Absolute discretion is required for this role
* Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence and a sense of humour are essential
* Strong aptitude for independent technical problem-solving skills as well as a strong creative eye
* Experience working in luxury retail sector
* Experienced in managing projects and events
* Strong communication skills with the confidence to work cross-departmentally on a regular basis
* Highly organised with efficient ways of working and a good ability to keep calm under pressure
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel skills & Powerpoint
* Ability to be an extension of the principle in all communication and tone
* UK Driving license is a plus
