As a small team Inflow has a streamline and ‘can do’ approach and we are experiencing an exciting growth phase. We are looking for a dynamic Underwriter to join us and be part of the Team. Key Accountabilities Be able to work within prescribed procedures, practices and agreed SLAs. Manage a pipeline of cases in a fast-paced environment dealing with high volume workflows and prioritising accordingly. Reviewing case files and applications, conducting credit, Anti Money Laundering, and other searches. Assess new enquiries, structuring and pricing these cases as well as highlighting the conditions required for us to support the loan. Be alert to the risks attributed to an application ensuring that the loan is both suitable and fit for purpose. Preparing Credit Papers to a high standard, detailing the purpose, key components and decisioning, concluding with your recommendation for each loan application. To be responsible for all underwriting queries and resolution of issue. Using commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach to find appropriate mitigation of risks where possible, with support and oversight from the Senior team and Directors. Maintain accurate notes and record keeping on each application. Flag concerns and credit risks on information that has been collated. Be able to deal with incoming and outgoing phone calls. Regularly update the internal Team of case progression and the work pipeline. Maintaining personal and Team based KPIs. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, valuer, and solicitor partners as well as internal stakeholders. Prioritising workflow and identifying areas for improvement in the Underwriting process. Complete other general administrative tasks as required. Key Skills & Qualifications Experience in Underwriting preferably within the specialist lending industry. CeMAP Qualified is ideal but not necessary Personable, with excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with and build rapport with Introducers, Brokers, Applicants, Solicitors. The ability to relay detailed information in a clear and concise manner both written and verbally. Organised and able to manage time critical tasks, prioritising them accordingly. Accurate and focused with an attention to detail. Able to demonstrate you are hardworking, flexible, and able to work under your own initiative but also as a Team Player.
