About the Team
The Governance team ensures the highest standards of governance and compliance with legal and charitable requirements and best practice. We provide person-centred support and advice to all Council and committee members and the Executive as well as acting as the conduit for all communication and engagement with Council and committee members.
About the Role
As Governance Assistant you will provide administrative support to the Assistant Director, Governance, the Head of Governance and the Governance team to ensure an effective, high quality governance function including support to Council, Committees and Executive Board. This role supports the smooth functioning of the Governance teams operations and compliance with corporate policies and processes
About You
You will be self-motivated and customer-focused, with excellent organisational and time management skills. You will be happy working in a varied role, willing to help out across a range of governance activities. You will be able to build productive relationships and work collaboratively within the team and across the organisation.
As well as excellent IT skills, you will have strong written communications skills, with absolute attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
