We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Accountant to join our company to help maintain an efficient, organised and accurate finance function for the business. The accountant will be responsible for assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations of 3 hotels within the group.
The Accountant will report directly into the Group Operations Manager and Owner.
Key responsibilities:
The Company Accountant will normally be expected to undertake a broad range of duties and responsibilities, which can include:
Deal with all accounting and control matters in the hotels in accordance with company policy
Managing supplier invoicing, statements & communications
Support in setting internal control procedures, checking coding and invoice postings
Reconciling payments received against Sales
Ensuring Financial transactions/reportings are accurate in the Accounting system.
Work along with the outsourced accounting service providers to ensure we meet deadlines
Establish, review and maintain all internal control systems within the hotels in every area of operation
Ensure we are meeting accounting deadlines.
Monitor and check departmental cash floats and stock holdings on a regular basis.
Checking staff time sheets & petty cash expenses
Providing administrative support to the team
Manage ad hoc financial & other commercial duties and projects as required
Background / Experience
Minimum 3 years accounting experience
Proactive, positive attitude, self-disciplined and efficient
Knowledge of Xero software is vital
High level of computer literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy of information
Customer focused no problem mentality
Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
Solid organisational skills and the ability to priorities a varied workload
Hold or be studying towards a relevant accountancy qualification
Smart, professional appearance, and able to work with little supervision
Previous experience in similar role along with knowledge of Guest line and Brilliant is desirable

Pay: £27,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
