Morgan Ryder is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 24-hour facility.
As a Maintenance Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and optimize various plant equipment to ensure efficient operation. This includes diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, minimizing downtime, and keeping production on track.
Key Responsibilities:
* Equipment Optimization: Maintain and optimize various plant equipment to ensure efficient operation.
* Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
* Planned Maintenance: Lead planned maintenance efforts to proactively address potential issues before they become problems.
* Collaboration: Work closely with our production team to drive improvements in efficiency and reliability.
* Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and contribute to performance reporting.
* Health and Safety: Champion health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
* Innovation: Innovate and implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or a completed apprenticeship in Plant Maintenance.
* Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role.
* Strong expertise in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Familiarity with PLC systems and automated machinery is an advantage.
* A proactive approach, with the ability to think on your feet and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
* Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, covering both days and nights.
