An exciting opportunity has arisen within Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust's Estates Department for an Estates Craft person with a Mechanical bias and background to join their team. We are interested in hearing from highly motivated, hardworking, and committed individuals with customer focused experience in this field of work.
You will report to the Estates Officer (Mechanical) and ensure all aspects of the Estate are maintained in a fit and proper manner, specifically in relation to the building related disciplines.
The preferred candidates will have experience in working for a large complex organisation such as the NHS and have a well-rounded knowledge of all building related maintenance matters. The Estates Department is responsible for the repair, maintenance and management of all Building and Engineering Services within the Trust.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning of workload and job priorities.

Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient and cost-effective maintenance and repair service to all properties owned or leased by the Trust. Consisting of Pre Planned Maintenance (PPM), Testing and Calibration, Fault Finding, Emergency Response, in compliance with all statutory legislation, Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) guidance and approved codes of practice.
Carry out installation and improvement work across all contracted sites, in accordance with organisational standards and national legislation.
To undertake skilled, semi-skilled tasks and those outside of core skills (within the competence of the post holder) to meet service needs as required.
To assist other trades and contractors, in accordance with service need.
To ensure that all tools, equipment, and machinery used in the performance of duties are tested and maintained to always meet current requirements.
To ensure that work is always undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety requirements to ensure the environment remains safe for patients, staff, and visitors to the Trust.
