Job Overview: Reporting directly to the Market Manager, the Plant Labourer is a multi-faceted role that will respond to the changing needs of the territory. Responsibilities include filling cylinders and loading them onto pallets for delivery to customers, maintaining the yard and facility, managing inventory, and completing general administrative duties.
What you’ll do:
* Fill propane cylinders and load them onto pallets for delivery to customers.
* Maintain a clean and orderly yard, ensuring that tanks and inventory are organized. Perform regular maintenance to minimize repairs and associated expenses, ensuring a professional image and safe workplace.
* Manage and control inventory, ensuring assets are accurately logged. Coordinate shipping and receiving and unload/load trucks as needed.
* Manage and coordinate any administrative paperwork and documentation as required.
* Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and relevant regulations. This includes conducting and documenting pre and post vehicle inspections on forklifts, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
* Prepare tanks.
* Conduct monthly inspections of the plant, completing safety inspection forms and submitting them.
What you bring:
* High School education.
* Minimum one (1) year of experience.
* Reliable transportation to work.
* TDG and WHMIS training and certification are assets.
* PGAC 100-1 Dispensing Product certification is an asset.
* Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects regularly.
