You’ll be joining our Stockport Head office, home to 18 showrooms, our Conference Centre, staff Wellness Hub, a truly state-of-the-art gym - fully loaded with Peloton bikes & every piece of gym equipment you can imagine. An indoor astroturf pitch, chat boxes & creative corners. Our Stockport team consists of over 350 adidas employees, working across Brand, Sports Marketing, Marketing Activations, Visual Merchandising, Sales, Account Operations, Finance, HR & many more.
What you’ll do:
As Key Account Manager, you’ll be a fundamental part of the Sales team, driving growth for both adidas and our partner account(s). You will collaborate on category plans, quarterly sell-ins, and flex your negotiation muscles. Plus, you’ll be the bridge between our amazing brand and the account.
The skills you’ll need for the Key Account Manager role:
* Strategic Planning:
o Collaborate with the Sales Manager and senior team to fine-tune strategic plan(s).
o Align our sales strategy with overall business volume objectives.
* Product Knowledge:
o Stay up to date with in-depth product knowledge.
o Understand customer product needs through both Sport and Lifestyle.
* Orderbook Management:
o Conduct weekly orderbook meetings with Sales, Account Managers, and customers.
o Convert open orders efficiently and minimize cancellations.
* Sell-Through Analysis:
o Monitor sell-out data diligently, leveraging Excel for insights including Net sales, Units & Margin.
o Optimize our sell-through performance.
* Key Account Engagement:
o Cultivate relationships with team & wholesale partners.
o Regularly visit their headquarters for meaningful interactions.
o Showcase strong emotional qualities both internally & externally.
Skills you’ll need:
* Proven experience in Selling and Negotiating.
* Proven experience within a Key Account Selling Environment.
* Strong communication skills: written, oral and presentation.
* Strong industry knowledge across divisions of footwear, apparel and accessories/equipment.
* Understanding of local markets’ consumers, accounts, economic environment and commercial needs.
