Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Family Support Practitioner for a Local Authority Client based in East London.
In this role, you will work directly with families facing complex challenges, providing targeted support and coordinating with multi-agency teams to promote positive family outcomes.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
Conduct holistic family assessments and interventions to address adverse childhood experiences, supporting resilience and attachment.
Serve as the lead professional for families, coordinating multi-agency support and overseeing action plans.
Work directly with parents to strengthen parenting capacity, support child development, and address barriers like housing and finances.
Collaborate with community partners to reduce family isolation and foster access to local resources.
Ensure child welfare through adherence to safeguarding practices and close coordination with Children's Social Care.About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
Significant experience working directly with children and families, particularly those with complex needs.
Proven experience providing parenting support and delivering structured parenting programs, workshops, or group sessions.
Experience conducting child-centred assessments and creating outcome-based action plans.
Experience handling safeguarding concerns and adhering to child protection policies.
What's on offer:
Salary: £20+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
