We are looking for a driven and skilled Site Engineer to join a high-profile infrastructure project in Stratford, East London. The Role:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering essential site engineering tasks, establishing level and survey controls, and ensuring precise execution of works per contract drawings.
Your initial assignment will focus on the Manor Road remediation packages for Thames Water, addressing bridge repairs and trunk sewer barrel remediation across rail and road spans. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the design phase of a challenging and large-scale project, working alongside experienced Site Agents, Sub Agents, and engineers.
Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Environment
Champion safe working practices and ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal obligations.
Support environmental sustainability and deliver works safely.
Quality Assurance
Ensure defect-free delivery by adhering to company procedures.
Proactively identify and implement value engineering opportunities.
Site Engineering Duties
Establish and maintain level and survey controls.
Accurately set out detailed works as per contract requirements, conducting regular checks.
Keep precise records that comply with legal and organisational standards.
Contribute to project planning by assisting with RAMS, ITPs, and quality checks.
Monitor project performance and notify variations as needed.
Maintain site diaries, allocation sheets, and photographic records to ensure robust documentation.
Key Measures of Success:
Accurate and efficient setting out of works.
Successful handovers with complete quality records and no defects.
Accurate and comprehensive project records, diaries, and registers.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience setting out on civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety, and regulations.
Proficiency with robotic total stations or EDM instruments.
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, results-driven approach.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Experience in temporary works coordination.
CSCS card, cable avoidance training, and first aid certification.
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
