TITLE: Senior Business Development Executive Matchday Hospitality

Background:
Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.
Job Purpose:
Ashton Gate Stadium requires a strong sales executive to enhance sales across the new hospitality offering for football and rugby. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in identifying new business opportunities and converting to hospitality sales, driving increased revenue for the Hospitality division. The role requires a self-motivated, confident sales-focused individual who can deliver against the targets set.
Key Responsibilities:
* New Business Generation: Identify opportunities by reviewing existing clients and prospect lists to drive new business opportunities. Initially focused on Executive box sales either seasonal or Match to Match, followed by the Cow & Sow and Crossbar offerings across both sports.
* Team Player: Work with the hospitality sales team, the Partnership Sales team, and the Venue Sales team to ensure a joined-up approach to maximize results across the board including cross-selling opportunities.
* Targets: Work towards achieving individual and collective sales targets set, providing feedback on prospects.
* Knowledge and experience: Knowledge of the sports hospitality or events industry.
* Ability to negotiate.
* Highly organized: Methodical approach to workload.
* Excellent communication skills: Both written and verbally.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven Track Record: Strong sales experience preferably in the sports, events, or hospitality sectors.
* Sales Expertise: A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Knowledge of Bristol Market: Strong knowledge of the Bristol market and a comprehensive network of business across the City and South West.
* Relationship Management: Interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Adaptability: A forward-thinker, comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with the ability to pivot as needed.
* Education: Degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred, though not essential.
Compensation:
* Competitive salary package, based on experience.
* A commission structure based on sales generated:
o 1.5% of hospitality sales revenue generated.
o 0.50% on matchday sponsorships sold.
o 1% on Lansdown Memberships sold.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
* Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times, with relevant paperwork to support.
* Ensure all employees complete their training required to do their job.
* Report all incidents and accidents as required.
* Report any hazards detected.
* Complete and review the risk assessments for the department.
