Job Summary
I am seeking an additional, dedicated team member to provide health care and support. I am a man in my 30's living in my family home. The ideal candidate will have a caring disposition and willing to complete training to provide excellent personal and health care. You will have the strong ability to manage various tasks efficiently and take on responsibilities. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth daily organisation of my care in a home environment.
The role is about learning the basics of my health care so I can get out and about to live my life knowing that I have specialist staff to support me. I require someone with a manual driving licence, who is happy to drive a wheelchair adapted van. A good knowledge of driving in Plymouth would be helpful. I enjoy going to the cinema, theatre and on holiday and my team support me in this. Responsibilities
* Attend training, both in-house, on-line and through professional providers.
* Give medication and provide personal care.
* Use a ceiling track hoist.
* Use respiratory equipment and follow medical advice and routines (full training provided).
* Keep accurate records and have good communication skills with myself, other team members and my family.
* Drive a wheelchair adapted vehicle.
Requirements
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for effective communication.
* Lived experience of care would be desirable.
* A valid UK driving licence is required for transportation duties.
* Good organisational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport.
