Wills and Probate Legal Assistant,Salary - £23,000 - £25,000Location - Barnsley, South YorkshireCRA Legal is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wills and Probate Legal Secretary to provide vital support to our senior legal professionals. Key Responsibilities:
* Support senior legal staff by transcribing dictations and preparing legal documents (audio and written).
* Draft, edit, and review legal documents to ensure precision and compliance with legal standards.
* Conduct and verify client statements, ensuring accurate documentation of relevant information.
* Review and organsise medical records for use in legal proceedings.
* Manage client communication, handling emails, calls, and correspondence professionally and promptly.
* Act as a first point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional service and timely responses.
* Direct incoming telephone calls to the appropriate contacts efficiently.
* Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems for easy document retrieval.
* Coordinate appointments and schedules, resolving any potential conflicts proactively.
* Perform general administrative duties to support daily operations.
* Assemble and prepare court bundles for hearings and trials.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within the Wills and Probate sector.
* Fast and accurate typing and transcription skills with strong attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a high-volume environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
