About The Opportunity
Start a Graduate programme with Heidelberg Materials and gain a fascinating insight into an exciting and rewarding career in the construction industry.
Based within the Land and Mineral Resources (LMR) department, this position provides support to the Principal Landscape Architect as well as the rest of the LMR department and other colleagues in the business including Operations e.g. Aggregates, Asphalt, Cement and Concrete.
The LMR department provides expertise and services in the following functions:
* landscape planning, design, habitat management and restoration.
* lands (estates) and planning.
* geology, including geotechnical, hydrology and hydrogeology.
* land survey and drawing office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement approved planning consents to ensure cost effective and biodiverse land reclamation.
* Ensure the business has available permitted mineral reserves.
* Implement sustainability and biodiversity strategies in compliance with all necessary statutory and contractual requirements.
* Effectively manage all land, property, reserves/resources, and assets.
* Assist and support the Principal Landscape Architect in providing landscape design and habitat management services to the Region.
* Liaise with operational management on landscape management and restoration issues.
* Maintain up-to-date cost estimates and assist in preparation of annual restoration budgets.
* Advise on implementation of restoration proposals including preparation of contract specifications.
* Assist with landscape input into development proposals including planning applications.
* Provide advice on ecological and habitat matters.
* Instruct and manage external contractors and consultants.
* Provide a high-quality draughting service using AutoCAD and other software packages.
* Implement corporate systems, procedures, and reporting.

Entry Requirements:
You must have graduated in 2024 or be graduating in 2025 and expected to achieve a 2:1 in Landscape Architecture or a relevant Landscape or Environmental Science degree.
