To ensure consistent support for our field teams, we are seeking a Cover Team and Resource Manager to oversee and guide staff during their training and induction periods. In this role, you will support team members as they transition between care packages before joining a permanent team, while also managing those providing cover support. Your leadership will be key in fostering a smooth, structured, and supportive experience for our staff.
Please note, although these roles are advertised in specific areas, you will be expected to work anywhere in the North East and attend our Sunderland office.
Responsibilities:
* Be the primary contact and maintain regular communication with Cover Team members to ensure they feel supported and valued.
* Have full oversight and management of PCG’s full rota system and support the full field management team to fill sickness, holiday and other absences, often at short notice.
* Collaborate closely with our Learning and Development team to arrange training and upskilling opportunities, as well as monitor progress during induction/probationary period.
* Actively respond to feedback from Team Managers regarding performance and areas for improvement.
* During times when the whole of the Cover Team is being utilised, your support may be required to aid in cover for specific teams.
Minimum Requirements:
* Proven experience within managerial or supervisory roles, within care or a similar environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Previous experience of resourcing within care or a similar environment to ensure staffing levels are kept to contractual levels at all times.
* Microsoft Office skills, specifically use of Excel are essential.
* Must hold a minimum of Level 3 in Residential Childcare Certificate.
* Expectation to enrol or already be enrolled onto Level 5 Leadership and Management.
* Must have passed 6 month probationary period (for internal applicants only).
