Job Description Responsbilities The successful candidate will carry out the parts planning, forecasting and inventory management activities required to support a wide range of customer, overhaul, repair and distribution networks. Other key activities include working closely with external and internal stakeholders (used material / supply chain) to understand part policies/ usage, developing new approaches and recommendations to improve financial performance and demand accuracy. Whilst maintaining an operational focus on emerging risk to MRO overhaul activities. The successful candidate will be comfortable in working across multi-functional teams, obtaining and challenging information to determine root causes, making decisions through risk-based analysis to ensure cost-effective corrective solutions are put in place and taking ownership to drive investigations and actions to conclusion. including Engineering, Engine Clearance, Repair Services and Supply Chains based in the UK and overseas. Key accountabilities: Lead & support development of active used material management processes and policies in support of customer MRO activities. Liaise with various disciplines across the Project Team to develop an accurate understanding of the Fleet Operational Plan and other parts usage drivers including campaign and cost management activity. Identify and evaluate causes of variability, impact of policy changes, financial considerations and risk mitigation strategies which affect demand accuracy Apply through-life policies to generate gross asset (component) forecast and stock requirements for new, used and repair supply chains Evaluate SIOP demand/ supply plans to identify customer or financial risk and manage resolution of any issues Work with customers to maintain forecasts for all in service requirements, ensuring variances to forecast are investigated and quality of demand accuracy and inventory is improved Maintain the appropriate understanding of the current performance of the new parts and repair supply chains to enable appropriate and early recommendations to manage risks Plan, manage, report and drive inventory by Analysing trends to produce recommendations that improves/manages Inventory and Stock turn objectives Support product change governance including attendance at PCB, PTM and Repair Executive Reviews Support process improvement through Community of Practice Why Rolls-Royce? Qualifications/Key Skills: Strong Data analysis and decision-making skills IT proficiency including good working knowledge of SAP MRP/Sales & Distribution & excel Understanding of Inventory principles, planning and managing Understanding of forecasting & demand management principles Programme management experience in support of development & execution of strategies and new concepts. Experience of MRO/used material supply chains including Reduce To Produce (RTP) Experience of Supply Chain and Manufacturing As part of this role, the successful candidate will interface with a wide range of disciplines and be confident in acting as Rolls-Royce Planning & Control advocate with internal and external customers. These include Wholly-Owned, Joint Venture and Independent Overhaul Shops, Airlines, Services Business & Delivery Have or be working towards professional APICS membership would be advantageous Awareness of Services including overhaul or repair activities would be an advantage Programme management skills and experience at developing & defining new processes & methodologies Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.
