Meals at Home Driver £22,853 - 23,658 (pro-rata) 16 hours per week, Saturday - Tuesday About the role Now more than ever, providing support to the most vulnerable within our Community is a key challenge for the Community Services Partnership of Runnymede & Surrey Heath Borough Councils, as we work to support residents to continue to live independently at home. One of the core Community Services provided is our Meals at Home service, delivering a hot lunch time meal and cold tea pack for evenings, to some of the most vulnerable residents of our communities, seven days a week. About you You will need to have a full driving licence and able to deliver up to 40 meals per shift, requiring entering and exiting the vehicle on multiple occasions, negotiating flights of stairs etc. within a short space of time. You will need to be able to communicate clearly with customers and be clear in information you are providing. In addition, you will act as the eyes and ears for family members and others, checking on the welfare of customers and reporting any noticeable changes or concerns to your supervisor. Working both as part of a small team and independently when delivering meals, you will need to have a positive, friendly approach, as well as being able to show understanding and empathy to the needs and concerns of those who you support from providing meals.
